The I-95 corridor is a pleasant 30-minute commute from downtown Ellsworth, and the City lies at the junction of the coastal, scenic Route 1 and Route 3 corridors. The City is located 45 minutes from an international airport (Bangor) and 15 minutes from a regional airport (Trenton) with daily commuter flights to Boston/Logan International Airport. Less than 30 minutes from Acadia National Park and within an hour drive of five major universities/colleges, the City is the ideal location to call home.

By Boat (or Ferry)

Boaters, ferry riders and cruise ship passengers enjoy access to Ellsworth through Mount Desert Island harbors such as Bar Harbor, Northeast Harbor, and Southwest Harbor. From these locations Ellsworth is less than 40 minutes away by local roads. Small watercraft can navigate the Union River to reach the Harbor Park and Marina and be in walking distance to downtown Ellsworth.
